It's Alzheimers Awareness month so we want you to honour this by playing along with the theme, Thanks for the Memories. Our DT members have created their projects using the November Newsletter freebie image called Trimming the Tree. That brings back lots of memories for many people. You can create a project based upon any fond memory you might have...just be sure to tell us in your blog post which memory you are paying tribute to.

Challenge #65 ~ Bump in the Night October 15 - 25

Our new challenge begins today with the theme of A Bump in the Night. The trick, however, is that this refers not to Halloween themed projects although you are welcome to do that as well. Challenge #64 ~ In the Pink October 1 - 10

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month which is a cause very near and dear to our hearts (no pun intended). So many of us have been touched by this horrible disease either directly or through family and friends. We want to take the first challenge of October to acknowledge and offer our support to the valiant women who have or still are fighting this battle and to those who love and support them through this fight. Our theme for Challenge #64 is In the Pink. We want to see either a project to support Breast Cancer Awareness or a project mainly featuring the colour pink.

Challenge #63 ~ I Like to Move it...Move it September 15 - 25

Hello Extraordinary Crafters!

Hi everyone! It's mid month and we are ready for a new challenge theme...something a little different with options. Our theme for Challenge #63 is I Like to Move It, Move It. We have a couple of ways that you can play along. You can either create a project where something actually moves, shakes, slides, wobbles, jiggles OR you can use an image where there is movement within it (like dandelions blowing in the wind) OR you can create movement in the background in an artsy way.

Challenge #62 ~ Shine On September 1 - 10

It's hard to believe it's September already! With a new month, comes a brand new challenge theme and a new free image sent to all subscribers of The East Wind newsletter. Our theme for Challenge #62 is Shine On so we want to see either a sun or a moon or something shiny included in your project. This month's freebie is called Borum and it includes either a sun or a moon, depending on how you want to play it. You don't have to use this image but it'll give you a head start if you want it :) The DT certainly enjoyed working with it.

Challenge #61 ~ Paper Piecing August 15 - 25

Hello Extraordinary Crafters!

It's time for our Mid-August challenge. This time we are looking for Paper Piecing where you print part(s) of the image on designer papers or papers you created and then adhere the parts over the original image which you have printed on the cardstock you will colour. You can paper piece the main image or a printed background image. Leigh mentioned to me that she knows this technique as Paper Applique so that might ring a bell for some.
